ElecKey Team Manager
ElecKey Team Manager is the tool
for managing the ElecKey license among your teams or
departments. ElecKey is a software suite that
provides the tools for software protection, licensing, and license management.
When several people or teams are using the ElecKey
tools, it is important that only an authorized person has permission to
generate and manage licenses for the protected application. So the security of
your software is not compromised. ElecKey Team
Manager allows you to restrict or grant permission for different teams,
allowing them to use only certain tools and features of ElecKey.
For example, the development team is given permission to use the software
protection tools (e.g. ElecKey Integrator, KeyCheck API) only, while the customer support team is
given permission to use the license management tools (e.g. LicenseKey
Manager, Activation Server).
A team can install ElecKey from the setup
package. After installation, start one of the ElecKey
tools. The Product Registration and Activation dialog box will appear. The team
must enter the Name and Organization exactly the same as the original
registration information that you used to activate your ElecKey
license. The team then sends you the Machine ID displayed on the dialog box. To
grant permission for a team, start ElecKey Team
Manager and enter your Activation Key and the received
Machine ID. You can set the permissions for the tools, features, Program IDs,
and time period. Then, generate the License Key to be returned to the team.
