Upgrading UpdateShield

You can upgrade your UpdateShield license at any time to add additional features. Simply go to the purchase page on the Sciensoft website to see the license upgrade choices. After the checkout is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with the instructions to reactivate your UpdateShield for the new license to take effect.

To Upgrade UpdateShield

1. Start UpdateShield Integrator, and then click the About button. The About dialog box appears.

2. Click the Upgrade button. The Product Upgrade dialog box appears.

3. Do not change the name and organization/company in the fields. Click the Next button to continue.

4. The dialog box shows a Machine ID and Registration ID, and requires the entry of License Key or Activation Key.

5. Click the Upgrade button. You will be linked to the Sciensoft website on the license upgrade page. (You can also go to the Sciensoft website directly at http://www.sciensoft.com.)

6. Follow the license upgrade instructions on the website.

To Reactivate UpdateShield for License Upgrade

1. Start UpdateShield Integrator, and then click the About button. The About dialog box appears.

2. Click the Upgrade button. The Product Upgrade dialog box appears.

3. Do not change the name and organization/company in the fields. Click the Next button to continue.

4. Enter your Activation Key in the provided field. Then, click the Auto Activate button.

5. A message “License Upgrade Complete” is displayed. You can check the upgraded features in the Status dialog box.
