Structure of the Key

The Key is a complex structure that holds information for the software protection and licensing system. The internal part is non-accessiable, which contains information used by the system including hardware signatures, Registration ID, license mode, timestamps, etc. The structure of the Key that is accessible via the ElecKey tools as well as the KeyCheck API is shown in the figure below.

 

Keys

 

The identification comprises of Key ID and Program ID. The Key ID is fixed and assigned by Sciensoft, which is basically your system-wide unique ID. To protect several applications, you can assign each with a different Program ID. The main Key Properties include the limits that define the licensing properties to the application. The extension includes a variety of additional properties for advanced protection and licensing.
