End-User Licensing Utilities

Learn about end-user utility programs that easily allow your customers to register, activate, deactivate, transfer, and revoke the license of the software. ** Click image to enlarge **

Registration and Activation
  • The Register utility allows the end-user to activate the software offline (using Registration ID/License Key) or online via the Internet (using Activation Key).
  • In offline activation (or called registration), the end-user must use the randomly generated Registration ID to contact you to obtain the License Key, which can be done by phone, fax, email, etc.
  • In online activation, you provide the end-user with an Activation Key (after the software purchase, etc.). The Activation Key allows the end-user to activate the software instantly through the Activation Server.
  • Activation Key can also be used to deactivate the software, which allows the end-user to transfer the license back to the Activation Server, and to activate the software again at a later time or on a different computer.
License Transfer
  • The Transfer utility allows the end-user to transfer the license of the software between two computers.
  • It encodes the current license status into a License Key to be used to activate the software on a new computer.
License Rovocation
  • The Destroy utility allows the end-user to revoke the license of the software.
  • After the revocation, the utility gives a Destroy-Code and the option to which the end-user can easily email it to you.
  • You can use LicenseKey Manager to verify the Destroy-Code that the end-user did indeed destroy the license. So you can disable the user's account, provide a refund, etc.
